Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us, and maintaining your trust and confidence is one of our highest priorities. We respect your desire to keep your personal information confidential and to avoid unwanted solicitations. We hope that by taking a few minutes to read the following Privacy Policy, you will have a better understanding of what we do with the information you provide us and how we keep it private and secure. If you have any questions or suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Information Collection and Use

We collect information from you in a variety of ways. This includes, but is not limited to when you visit our web site, make a purchase, fill out a form, click a link, call us, visit our place of business, open an email from us, or in connection with other services, activities, features, or resources we make available to you.

All personal information is submitted voluntarily by you. You can always refuse to provide us with personal information, with the understanding that this may prevent you from engaging in certain activities or benefiting from certain services and resources provided by us.

We use this information to complete transactions initiated by you, for administrative purposes, to better understand and serve your needs, and to improve our company and it’s services overall.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell or rent your personal information so that spammers can clutter your inbox. If we find a third-party product or service that we think you may be interested in, we will pass their information to you so that you have the ultimate choice of opting-in to these additional services. We may share aggregated demographic information about our customers/prospects with our partners and advertisers.

We use third party service providers to provide web hosting, credit card processing, data storage, and other services. We may share your information as necessary for the third party to provide these services. (For example: we will securely transmit your billing address to our credit card processor to ensure it matches the one on file with your credit card issuer to prevent fraud and unauthorized purchases.)

We reserve the right to disclose your personally identifiable information as required by law and when we believe that disclosure is necessary to protect our rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on our Web site.

Security

The security of your personal information is important to us. In order to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We use vendors that specialize in secure payment solutions. Sensitive data (such as credit card number) is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) to provide secure credit card processing and is securely stored on Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant servers.

We follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the personal information submitted to us, both during transmission and once we receive it. No method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is 100% secure, however. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security.

Email Choice, Opt-In, Opt-out

You can choose to receive email from us or not.

From time to time, we will send special offers, promotional notices, and special announcements via mail, email, fax, phone, and/or voice broadcast to people who have expressed interest and have requested such information.

You may opt out of receiving these offers and notifications at any time by following the opt-out/unsubscribe link that appears on each email communication or by contacting Oregon Music Academy directly.

Log Files

As is true of most web sites, we gather certain information automatically and store it in log files. This information includes but is not limited to: internet protocol (IP) addresses, browser type, internet service provider (ISP), referring/exit pages, operating system, date/time stamp, and clickstream data. We use this information to analyze trends, to administer the site, to track users’ movements around the site and to gather demographic information about our users.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s computer for record-keeping purposes. Almost all web sites use cookies. We use cookies to help us identify and track visitors, their usage of our website, and their website access preferences. In some cases we may use web tools provided by third party vendors that use cookies on our site. Visitors who do not wish to have cookies placed on their computers should set their browsers to refuse cookies before using our website, with the drawback that certain features of our website may not function properly without the aid of cookies.

Email Images and Trackable Links

We use image beacons and trackable links in our emails to let us know which emails have been opened by recipients and which links were clicked. This allows us to gauge the effectiveness of our marketing campaigns and communications as well as provide you with more customized communications based on your preferences. If you would like to opt-out of these emails, please see “Email Choice/Opt-In/Opt-out.”

Links to Other Sites

This web site and emails from us may contain links to other sites that are not owned or controlled by Oregon Music Academy. Please be aware that we are not responsible for the content or practices of these other sites. We encourage you to be aware when you leave our site and to read the privacy statements of each and every Web site that collects personally identifiable information.

Media Release

Due to the public nature of music performances, we can not ensure that you or your child’s likeness or performance will not be recorded by us or other audience members.

We occasionally use photographs, video, audio, music, and written statements in an effort to train staff and improve and promote our services. You irrevocably grant Oregon Music Academy the absolute right and permission to copyright and/or publish or use written work, audio, video, statements, or photographs of or by you or your child, or in which you or your child may be included in whole or part, or composite in conjunction with your name or a fictitious name, or reproduction thereof, made through any media, for art, advertising, or any other lawful purpose whatsoever. You waive any right to inspect or approve the finished work.

Business Transitions

In the unlikely event Oregon Music Academy goes through a business transition, such as a merger, acquisition by another company, or sale of all or a portion of its assets, your personally identifiable information will likely be among the assets transferred. You acknowledge that such transfers may occur, and that any acquirer of Oregon Music Academy or its assets may continue to use your personal information as set forth in this policy.

Your Consent

By using our web site and/or otherwise interacting with Oregon Music Academy, you consent to this privacy policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use our web site or services.
